Bethesda's space RPG Starfield has been gaining more and more players and critical acclaim, breaking records, becoming the studio's biggest release to date.
According to Steam, the PC gaming platform, the game has already surpassed the mark of 300,000 simultaneous players, and this number continues to grow. At the time of writing this text, the record was 313,993 players, which could be broken again soon.
For comparison purposes, the game The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, another Bethesda success, had a peak of 287,411 players on Steam, but that was 12 years ago when PC gaming wasn't as popular as it is today. Still, Starfield's feat is impressive.
Also, this number is from Steam only. Xbox boss Phil Spencer revealed that the game already has more than six million players, thanks also to Game Pass, Microsoft's subscription service.
