Bethesda's space RPG Starfield has been winning more and more players and critical acclaim, breaking records, as it becomes the studio's biggest release to date.
According to Steam, the PC gaming platform, the game has already surpassed the mark of 300,000 concurrent players, and that number continues to grow. At the time of writing this text, the record was 313,993 players, which may be broken again soon.
For comparison purposes, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, another hit by Bethesda, had a peak of 287,411 players on Steam, but that was 12 years ago when PC gaming wasn't as popular as it is today. Still, Starfield's feat is impressive.
Also, this number is from Steam only. Xbox boss Phil Spencer revealed that the game already has over six million players, thanks also to Game Pass, Microsoft's subscription service.
