Starfield was recently released and is now available, but in recent days, those who play on PC have complained that the RPG's performance is not the best, even on PCs with great hardware.
Recently, Todd Howard and Phil Spencer were interviewed by Bloomberg Technology and at one point, Todd Howard was asked why Bethesda didn't did a good optimization for Starfield on PC.
Todd Howard responds with a laugh and claims they optimized it, but you might need to upgrade your PC to play Starfield. Obviously this answer was not very well received by players.
< blockquote class="wp-block-quote">“Starfield is a next-gen PC game, we're really pushing the technology. You may need to upgrade your PC for this game, but there are a lot of good things about it and fans are responding very well.”
On the other hand, in many places on the internet, people with equipped PCs with RTX 4090 claim that they are experiencing performance issues, with the frame rate dropping as well as stutters.
However, it appears that this performance issue does not apply to everyone as other gamers claim that they are playing Starfield normally, without crashes or low FPS.
Starfield is now available on PC, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox Game Pass.
