Microsoft announced today that Xbox Series X will receive three new “Console Wraps” later this year in the form of a Starfield design, an Arctic Camo design, and a Mineral Camo design – and they are available for pre-order now.
“The covers were designed specifically for the Series X and have a custom, precise fit. Every detail has been taken into account to ensure the console's performance is preserved – the vents are all clear and small feet have been added to the bottom of the enclosures to ensure that air can flow freely through the console. Made with solid core panels that are overlaid with high-tech fabric trim, the wraps fold around the console and secure with a hook. The inside of the wraps are printed with silicone designs that hold the wrap in place.”
Microsoft says the rationale behind these Console Wraps is to provide a form of customization that is “more affordable and sustainable than buying a special edition or limited edition console.”
The skins will be released in the US, Canada and Europe on November 10, with its pre-order now available on the Xbox Store. And no, unfortunately we have no information if they will be released in Brazil, or if they will have a version for the small Xbox Series S.
