On August 13th, it was Father's Day, and to celebrate this special date, Xbox Brasil made a special post with several fathers of games. However, the post ended up getting attention because of a game: Final Fantasy VII Remake.
All games in the post were available for Xbox, with the exception of Final Fantasy VII Remake. That Square game was still in the center of the image, being the only one with green lettering. It didn't take long for gamers to believe that the game could be coming to the Xbox, especially with the recent announcement of the Final Fantasy XIV MMO for Microsoft's platform.
After the rumors spread, Xbox Brazil ended up deleting the post and now a representative from Microsoft confirmed that everything was just an error. "The image was posted in error as it included a title not available on Xbox," commented the company.
With the recent announcement that Final Fantasy XIV would be coming to Xbox and the promise that Microsoft and Square Enix would work more closely in the future, many players are hopeful that Final Fantasy VII Remake will come to the platform. However, it looks like it wasn't this time.
