It's no surprise that Starfield is a huge game in terms of content, and it looks like players should spend many hours playing it to get a chance to see everything the game has to offer.
For those excited about this new game from Bethesda Game Studios coming out in a few days, hours ago Bethesda boss Pete Hines, detailed in an interview his experience with Starfield so far.
According to Pete Hines, at this very moment he must already be close to completing 200 hours of Starfield, and even so he makes it very clear that didn't even come close to seeing it all.
Asked about the game's length in today's official Xbox Gamescom broadcast, Pete Hines says, “There isn't a set amount as long as I'm comfortable enough. I'm between 150-160 hours on my current game and I haven't even come close to seeing everything.”
“There are so many things I intentionally didn't do. We try to tell everyone how great this game is, and the people that are playing it, one of the few things that we're told is 'yeah, you weren't kidding. I can't believe how big it is.' No matter how you want to play it, there's so much for you to do in this game.”
Pete Hines claims that Starfield feels like you're playing multiple games different within a single game. There are so many things to do.
“When you're playing, it's almost like there are a bunch of different games within a single game and I can deciding how much time I want to spend, in a way you haven't really seen in a Fallout or Skyrim.”
“It's still possible to 'pass the time picking flowers in The Elder Scrolls', but it doesn't feel as completely different as the space game there is, the 'living on a whole planet', the free exploration, the combat, which factions, choosing sides. It's just amazing to see how it all comes together.”
Starfield launches on PC and Xbox consoles on September 6, 2023. The game also arrives day-one via Xbox Game Passa>a> .
