Nintendo fans buy every Wii U and 3DS game before the eShop closes

Some time ago Nintendo announced the imminent closure of the online services of the two eShops of the Wii U and 3DS consoles. This news would have come sooner or later, given the seniority of the two platforms, but despite this, there is a lot of sadness among fans. In all of this, however, there are those who wanted to run for cover by buying every single video game in the Wii U and 3DS eShop.

The proponent of this mission was the well-known youtuber known online as Jirard 'The Completionist' Khalil. In one of his new videos, Jirard showed, with his unmistakable style, all the steps that led him to purchase all the titles present in the two eShops of the Nintendo platforms divided into 866 games for Wii U and 1547 titles, for a total of 2413, including various DSiWare for 3DSi and all DLC.

--> The entire collection cost Khalil $22,791, with the youtuber taking almost a whole year to finish his huge project. As explained in his latest video, all this was done thanks to the support of a fundraiser and he will donate the complete collection to the Video Game History Foundation: a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the history of video games.

Everything went perfectly just a few days after the definitive closure of the Nintendo Wii U and 3DS digital store servers, which will take place on March 27th. From that date on it will no longer be possible to make new purchases on the platforms' stores, however, it will still be possible to download the games and DLCs already in possession. If you are interested in some Wii U and 3DS titles in particular, you still have a week to buy it and make it yours forever.
