Years after its announcement, Mundfish is finally preparing for the debut of its Atomic Heart. The first person shooter, which will arrive on PC and consoles on March 21, 2023, however, will not be abandoned anytime soon. In fact, during an interview with Wccftech, the game director Robert Bagratuni announced the arrival of some DLCs that will expand the gaming experience.
What will be the nature of these additional contents? Bagratuni has spoken out, denying the arrival of multiplayer-focused DLC. "The entire Atomic Heart game experience will remain single player, focusing on the story and the player experience", the director's words. The additional content will therefore be focused exclusively on new territories, new quests, new puzzles, enemies and new characters. The support therefore promises to keep players glued to the title for some time, however depriving itself of a component that today seems omnipresent in many other games.
In addition to the plans for the DLCs, the director also talked about the development of the game, explaining the reasons behind the postponement of the title, initially scheduled for 2022. “We wanted to create something extraordinary. The reasons for the delay are found in our youth in terms of work, in our ambitions and obviously in new technologies. The abandonment of multiplayer also played a fundamental role, given that we had to review some things in the structure”, revealed the director. From our point of view, however, a referral is always a correct choice if the development team is not sure of the quality of the product. Better a little more time to be able to have a much better game in your hands.
As we anticipated above, Atomic Heart will be available starting March 21, 2023 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X. The game will also be included on Xbox and PC Game Pass from day one . Keep following GameDivision for all the news and upcoming announcements from the world of video games.
