Red Dead Redemption has been removed from PS Plus Premium after six years of availability

Rockstar Games and Sony have removed Red Dead Redemption from PS Plus Premium. The western game was added six years ago to PS Now and has been available ever since.

PlayStation players now have to own a PS3 in order to play Red Dead Redemption. As pointed out by Twitter user videotech_, now the only legal way to play Red Dead Redemption on modern platforms is through Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S backwards compatibility.

A version has never been released Red Dead Redemption PC, so in that case you need to use a console emulator to run the game.

Recall that Red Dead Redemption was originally released on PS3 and Xbox 360 in May 2010. In 2018 a 4K patch was made available, perfect for playing the video game via Xbox One X and Xbox Series X at quality as high as possible.

There have been rumors for a long time of a remaster / remake version, but nothing happened and according to some rumors the project has been canceled internally by Rockstar Games.
