Gotham Knights
In these last weeks of October one of the most interesting and talked about news has certainly been Gotham Knights. The new title developed by Warner Bros. Games Montreal allows us to take on the role of four characters from the DC Comics bat-family, and since its first moments of life the game has faced a series of situations that are not exactly exciting . Now, it looks like the PC version of the title is back in the spotlight after Warner Bros. Games confirmed they removed Denuvo from the experience.
Now, less than a week after the launch of Gotham Knights, Warner Bros. Games has confirmed that they have removed Denuvo from the title with a recent patch. This solution, unfortunately, does not seem to have solved the problems reported in the past few days at all, although this removal has still led to an increase in performance. According to the CapFrameX website we find that the average framerate of the game has increased from 111.3 FPS to 120.7 FPS on a PC that is equipped with an Nvidia RTX 3090 GPU and an Intel i9-13900K CPU.
Despite these improvements , again thanks to CapFrameX we discover that Gotham Knights still suffers from major frame drops and frame pacing problems. The new bat-family game seems to be haunted by performance, as there has been a lot of talk about blocking at 30 FPS on the latest generation PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S consoles since before its release.
