Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
As we get closer and closer to the launch of the next generation Pokémon Scarlet and Violet titles, it seems that Game Freak still has a lot of news in store for us to unveil. During a new surprise event, called the World Pokémon Ecological Society, a series of new footage was shown that showcase different areas of the new Paldea region along with some of the collectible creatures that inhabit it.

The new interactive presentation led us to discover several news related to this new region of the Pokémon world, including a new creature that immediately aroused interest and the curiosity of many fans. If at first glance it appears to be a new regional form of Diglett, as we go through the presentation we are told that this is not a regional form but an entirely new creature called Wiglett.| ); }
As you can see from the images, also posted by the well-known leaker Serebii on Twitter, Wiglett looks very similar to Diglett only for some details, such as the design; however, there are some elements, such as the ability to stretch and, of course, the coloring, which differ a lot. Certainly this new Pokémon is causing the community of fans to discuss, quickly becoming a topic of chat between those who love it and those who, on the contrary, are not satisfied at all with this novelty.
Pokémon Scarlet and Violet adds a weird new Diglett called Wiglett

Wiglett was revealed in a somewhat unusual fashion, as part of a faux Zoom call between members of the World Ecological Pokémon Society, which is being shown a presentation on the Paldean region by Jacq, the player’s homeroom teacher in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. During the video, various biomes and Paldean Pokémon are shown, including another newcomer, Paldean Wooper. Society members remark on Wiglett’s appearance, likening it to a region-specific version of Diglett — even though it is apparently a separate species.
Whether Wiglett will evolve into another form — as Diglett does into Dugtrio — is unknown. You can watch the Wiglett reveal in this video uploaded by Serebii, if you don’t want to sit through the entire World Ecological Pokémon Society presentation.
Pokémon Scarlet and Violet will be released Nov. 18 for Nintendo Switch. The newest mainline game will introduce the ninth generation of Pokémon and the new Paldean region. Players will be able to catch brand-new Pokémon like Armarouge, Ceruledge, Klawf, Grafaiai, Fidough, Paldean Wooper (aka Pooper), Cetitan, Cyclizar, Smoliv, Lechonk, and Pawmi. Those new creatures join Scarlet and Violet’s new starters Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly, and two new Legendary Pokémon (Koraidon and Miraidon), in the series’ Pokédex.
