
Already in the past the leaker had published the updated specifications of the RTX 4080, which showed a cut to the core number when previous leaks were taken into consideration. The same fate seems to have been reserved for the RTX 3070 as well. As you can see from the table below, which compares the specifications published three weeks ago with the most recent ones, we can see that it has a lower number of cores, as well as slower memories, characteristics which certainly contributed to reducing the TGP. As a result, performance also dropped, dropping from around 11,000 to around 10,000 points in the Time Spy Extreme benchmark.
