Specifically, the consumption of the RTX 4070 has decreased from 300W to 285W, while the RTX 4080 would have dropped from a whopping 450W to just 320W, matching the power consumption of the RTX 3080. As specified in another post by the insider, it seems that Nvidia has realized the problematic consumption of its new video cards, requiring a reduction to the values equal to those of the Ampere models, which are much more acceptable. However, given the reduced power consumption, we could also expect lower operating frequencies and performance.
We can expect RTX 4080 with 320W and RTX 4070 with 285W.

The sources of the insider, which so far proved to be always authoritative, obviously remain unknown.
