The Lord of the Rings
As promised, today Amazon released a new trailer for The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, the TV series based on the universe of J.R.R. Tolkien coming to Prime Video in early September. You can view the video in the player at the head of the news. The video is basically a continuation of the teaser released on July 8th. In the trailer we see some of the suggestive locations in which the events of the first season will take place, between snow-capped peaks and elven forests, passing through dwarven mines and cities of humans. We also see numerous characters in action, giving the idea that The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power will be an ensemble series, with numerous plots and characters that will intertwine to create one great story.
"The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power brings the heroic legends of the Second Era of Middle-earth history to the screens for the first time," reads the official description of the Amazon Prime Video series.
"This drama epic is set thousands of years before the events of Tolkien's The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, and will take viewers back to an era where great powers were forged, kingdoms rose to glory and fell into ruin, unlikely heroes were tested and the greatest villain ever to come out of Tolkien's pen has threatened to shroud the whole world in darkness. Begun in a time of relative peace, the series follows an ensemble cast of characters, both familiar and new, as they face the much feared re-emergence of evil in Middle-earth. From the darkest depths of the Misty Mountains, to the majestic forests of the elven capital Lindon, to the island kingdom of Númenor, to the farthest reaches of the map, these kingdoms and characters carve out legacies that will survive long after they're gone. "

With a little over a month to go until the massive drama finally takes streaming audiences by storm, Amazon has released a new trailer for its heavily-anticipated series, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power.
