Mercedes GLC
After the recent official presentation, the new Mercedes GLC is preparing for its debut on the market. The new SUV of the German company is already available on the Mercedes website through the online configurator that allows potential buyers to choose the version that best suits their needs of the new GLC.For its customers in Italy, Mercedes offers the new Mercedes GLC with a starting price of 61,345 euros. The SUV range consists of six different trim levels (Advanced, Advanced Plus, AMG Advanced, AMG Advanced Plus, AMG Premium and AMG Premium Plus).
As for the engines, for the moment, in Italy the The new Mercedes GLC arrives on the market with the 2-liter four-cylinder units combined with the 48 V mild hybrid system capable of guaranteeing a boost of 23 hp. Available to customers are the 200 and 300 petrol versions, respectively with 204 HP and 258 HP.
In the coming months, the debut of the plug-in hybrid petrol variants, the 300 e and the 400e, of the new Mercedes GLC is expected, which will complete the range, guaranteeing over 100 kilometers of zero emissions mileage. The 300de with a plug-in hybrid diesel system is also on the way.
2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC SUV Crossover Price Revealed
The 2023 model year Mercedes-Benz GLC SUV Crossover is now available for order in Germany. The prices start at 57,631.70 euros ($57,789.61 based on prevailing conversion rates).
The GLC SUV just released its second-generation model in June this year. The GLC range came as a replacement for the GLK-Class in 2015 and has been the best-selling vehicle under the Mercedes-Benz brand in the past few years.
The latest generation features cleaner and smoother surfaces that embody the three-pointed star marque’s “sensual purity, intelligence, and emotion” design philosophy. It is also highlighted by a mild hybrid setup, new onboard tech, and a more agile body having a better drag coefficient at 0.29 cd than its predecessor’s 0.31 cd.
New Mercedes-Benz GLC SUV Trims
The new generation of the GLC SUV is currently available in three trims in Germany with three more coming soon, including a plug-in hybrid model, and a couple of yet-to-be-confirmed AMG models. Meanwhile, the US will only get two choices for the SUV in its dealerships.
Going back to the GLC SUV models in Europe, the current offerings include:
1. Mercedes-Benz GLC 200 4MATIC (Starting at $57,631.70, Including VAT)
The GLC 200 4MATIC with a petrol-fed 2.0-liter inline-four engine producing 204 hp and 320 Nm of torque plus a 200 Nm torque boost coming from a mild hybrid EQ system. The setup allows the auto to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.8 seconds and gun up to a max speed of 221 km/h.
2. Mercedes-Benz GLC 300 4MATIC (Starting at $68,240.55, Including VAT)
The GLC 300 4MATIC has the same engine as the GLC 200 but with outputs at 258 hp and 400 Nm of torque plus a 200 Nm torque boost from the EQ tech. The SUV can go 0 to 100 km/h in 6.2 seconds and go up to 240 km/h.
3. Mercedes-Benz GLC 220 d 4MATIC (Starting at $60,237.80, Including VAT)
The GLC 220 4MATIC is equipped with a diesel-fed 2.0-liter inline-four engine capable of 197 hp and 440 Nm of torque plus a 200 Nm torque boost from the EQ mild-hybrid system. It can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 8 seconds and it tops at 219 km/h. This is the most frugal among the three with only 5.9 and 5.2 l/100 km WLTP fuel consumption ratings in city and highway drives, respectively.
