With the approval of the latest Reopening decree, the government has changed many of the health regulations relating to the use of masks in public places, until next June 15. Cinema, theaters and concerts The Ffp2 are also compulsory for indoor cultural events, going to the cinema, theater or concert halls.
Sport Also for indoor sporting events , therefore in sports halls, the obligation to wear the Ffp2 mask remains in force. The obligation clearly applies only to the public and staff present in these places and not to the athletes who compete. While a mask is not needed in the case of outdoor sporting events.
Health structures It remains the obligation to wear a mask of any type even in all health, social, health and welfare structures, including hospitality structures and long-term hospitalization, both for male and female workers, and for users and visitors.
School Surgical masks are compulsory in schools and classrooms for all people aged 6 and over. Only children under the age of six and people with pathologies and disabilities incompatible with the obligation and for those who have to communicate with people with disabilities, as well as those who play sports are excluded.
Work Workers must always wear masks while carrying out your activities, in all shared environments both indoors and outdoors. The rule also applies in all circumstances in which the safety distance cannot be respected and when one is in contact with the public. However, it will not be mandatory to wear masks when working alone.
Local ordinances In Campania, the regional president Vincenzo de Luca has announced that he wants to issue an ordinance to maintain the mandatory use of the mask for workers in hotels, restaurants, kitchens, waiters, shops and supermarkets. All categories for which the obligation is actually already in force thanks to the extension of the safety protocol to combat the coronavirus in the workplace, which provides for the above.
Mandatory use of a mask: These are the places where it remains in force
The Council of Ministers, led by Aníbal Torres and with the presence of President Pedro Castillo, announced the optional use of a mask in open spaces, a measure that according to the executive director of Public Health Surveillance of the Center National Department of Epidemiology, Prevention and Disease Control (CDC) of the Ministry of Health, Cesar Munayco, will take effect from May 1.
This measure was applied to regions that have now passed or reached 80%, which represent Metropolitan Lima, Callao, Lima Provinces, Ica and Áncash. However, the use of the mask will still be mandatory for the following closed places:
- Shopping centers
- Shopping arcades
- Department stores, stores in general and stores supplying basic necessities.
- Conglomerates
- Supermarkets and markets
- Restaurants and related areas in internal areas
- Casinos and slots
- Cinemas and theaters
- Banks and financial institutions
- Churches, temples and places of worship
- Libraries, museums, cultural centers and art galleries
- Clubs
- Premises of sports associations
- Hairdressers, barbershops, spa, Turkish baths, sauna and thermal baths
- Gymnasiums
- Notaries
- Customer service offices, administrative procedures and desks of parts of public and private institutions, as well as professional associations.
In the case of restaurants or similar, the mask (s) can be removed only at the time of eating food.
Remember that the capacities were removed a few months ago, the only requirement would be to enter with a KN95 mask, or failing that a three-fold surgical mask and on top of it a community mask (fabric).
During yesterday's press conference, Prime Minister Torres, in addition to pointing out the optional use of the mask, indicated that the return of all public servants to face-to-face work was agreed, in places where more than 80 percent of the population have been vaccinated with the three doses.
It also approved the elimination of the distance between students in the same classroom, which will allow 100% capacity, education minister Rosendo Serna reported today.
Reporting on the agreements reached after today's meeting of the Council of Ministers, Serna pointed out that these restrictions will no longer exist in any educational institution because they want to guarantee one hundred percent of attendance.
“I want to thank the premier's willingness and also the technical team of the health sector to address this issue. After a debate, the elimination of the distance meter has been defined. This will allow a capacity of 100% of the students in their classrooms. It is no longer a measure of restriction in any educational institution because we want to guarantee 100% of face-to-face participation,” he said.
On the other hand, the law was passed allowing chemical castration for rapists of minors. This was stated by the Minister of Justice and Human Rights, Félix Chero Medina, at the press conference offered by the head of the Ministerial Cabinet, Aníbal Torres, and Ministers of State.
“Today the Council of Ministers approved the bill implementing specialized medical treatment for the inhibition of libido for juvenile rapists. Many say that chemical castration is a name that does not correspond. This bill has been approved, and tomorrow it is being submitted to Congress for analysis, discussion and, if they consider it pertinent, approved,” said Chero.
