The Miami International Autodrome is the new circuit announced a few days ago by Codemasters that faithfully reproduces the real one that tomorrow, Sunday 8 May, will host the first Miami Grand Prix, the fifth stage of the Formula 1 world championship.
The circuit, like the real counterpart, has 19 curves and three areas used for the use of the Drag Reduction System, or the system to reduce the aerodynamic resistance of the cars, significantly increasing the speed and consequently the overtaking possibilities.
We remind you that the F1 22 release date is set for July 1, 2022 for PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X | S and Xbox One. The new edition of the Codemasters racing game will allow you to experience the excitement of the 2022 FIA Formula One World Championship with hybrid cars, new race weekend rules and the inclusion of F1 Sprint racing. The Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix goes lights out on Sunday, May 8, at 3:30 pm.
F1 22 hits shelves on July 1 and will be available for consoles and PC.
This is the first time Formula 1 will travel to Miami and race at the Miami International Autodrome.
The first Miami Grand Prix is just days away, but no one has really seen how the circuit will handle a fleet of Formula 1 machines. Combining this new circuit with the new generation of cars, we’re all going into the race weekend with a narrow perspective of what could happen. Well, the folks at EA Sports and Codemasters are giving us a look at the circuit at speed in the teaser above.
The team behind F1 22 released a hot lap of the Miami International Autodrome from the perspective of the current F1 leader Charles Leclerc’s Ferrari. While it’s hard to say how real drivers will handle the track and conditions, it seems like the circuit will make for a fun experience.
The 3.36-mile circuit stretches the race to nearly 200 miles when the checkered flag drops. The track packs 19 corners into the layout with some corners cresting 100 mph. There should be ample passing opportunities with three DRS zones and a mix of slow and fast corners.
Of course, this digital hot lap happened with the sun in the sky and a perfect track. Miami’s weather forecast doesn’t look as promising right now, which could make the race even more interesting. Speculation aside, you’ll be able to race this circuit yourself when F1 22 drops this July.
