A dramatic transformation is underway at Alfa Romeo that will significantly increase its range of available models, making the brand exclusively electric and focused on high-wheel options. After the arrival of Tonale, which is located under the Stelvio, another SUV known as the Brenner will arrive on the market and will be the brand's first ever electric vehicle. Subsequently, a revamped version of the Stelvio will arrive and an even larger SUV destined to position itself in the same segment as the BMW X5.
And the Giulia? It will not be eliminated but rather updated in 2025 using the Stellantis STLA Large EV platform. Will it remain a segment D sedan? Perhaps. In this regard, in a note, the head of Alfa Romeo North America Larry Dominique specified that the sedans are constantly evolving and it is likely that the concept currently available will not be the same one reserved for the Giulia in the future.
Dominique has declined to delve into exactly how the next Giulia will evolve, but there are a couple of clues that suggest what the Italian sedan might become. As we know, the car market has been favoring high-wheeled solutions, SUVs and crossovers for several years now, and the brand itself has decided to follow this strategy by introducing only models of this kind. Furthermore, looking at other brands, it is not difficult to notice that several sedans now have a "raised look". Just think of the Renault Arkana or Skoda Enyaq Fastback.
