In a few hours, tomorrow, BMW will debut its new luxury electric sedan, known as the BMW i7. At the moment there are not many details on this, but it will certainly be a high-end car, destined for high comfort accompanied by an unlimited level of technology. According to what reported on the official BMW profile, on Facebook, the car will feature a mammoth 8K display, a solution that we rarely find even in the most luxurious living rooms.
Dubbed as “BMW Theater Screen “, Will be an optional dedicated to those who are looking for multimedia and streaming without borders. Similar to Mercedes' Hyperscreen, it is an imposing, almost end-to-end display with a diagonal of 31 inches; unlike the one implemented by the manufacturer of the Star, it will be positioned in the rear area and dedicated entirely to passengers. It is not clear, at the moment, how much the display can cover the passengers' view and, possibly, affect the brightness of the roof considering that the display will not be fixed but retractable.
Outside, it is evident that the style it will be largely based on the controversial BMW X7 which debuted in April of this year. A large front double kidney is then expected, embellished with an LED contour, paired with a pair of slim, tapered headlamps. Powertrain details are not confirmed yet, but we have gathered some information from the BMW USA website. The i7 will be offered in xDrive60 declination, which means four-wheel drive with electric powertrains inherited from the BMW iX M60. If this is true, it is legitimate to expect around 610 HP and an enormous torque of almost 1,000 Nm. The price is of course a mystery, but given the range to which it belongs, it is legitimate to wait for a price of over 100,000 euros.
