According to the most recent rumors, the company should have a prototype ready this year: we are talking about the third quarter of 2022 for the presentation of the prototype, of which we still know very little to date. Xiaomi's electric car project is followed directly by the company's founder, Lei Jun, and should see the light of the market by 2024.
What we will understand very soon is Xiaomi's intention: if by the end of the year the Chinese company will show the developed prototype, this will be a clear signal of how serious Xiaomi is doing in this sense. In any case, Xiaomi seems intent on building a factory in Beijing capable of producing up to 300,000 cars per year.
