This Raspberry Pi robot made with LEGO scans the stars

If you like looking at the night sky for stars, this Raspberry Pi project might be for you. In fact, the developer known as EldenGoat has created an interesting robot based on the popular Single Board Computer that he has renamed Galilego. The name also derives from its external casing, built thanks to the Lego Mindstorms Robot Inventor 51515 set, which houses a Raspberry Pi 4, a GPS (to calculate the exact location), a 12.3MP camera and a 10,000mAh battery 3 , 7V.

At the moment, only the physical component itself seems to have been completed, while the software part is still under development; therefore, no field demonstration is available. It is also unknown which approach EldenGoat will intend to use, although the most sensible choice should be to write code in Python. The project could also see further developments thanks to the Raspberry Pi Build HAT, an interface board for LEGO components.
