Award-winning composer Michael Giacchino, who wrote the music for The Batman and Spider-Man: No Way Home, will compose the soundtrack for Lightyear - The True Story of Buzz. Giacchino has a long-standing relationship with Pixar: he won an Oscar, a Golden Globe and a GRAMMY for the original soundtrack of Up. In addition, his Pixar filmography includes, among others, The Incredibles - A "normal" family of superheroes, Ratatouille, Cars 2, Inside Out, Coco and The Incredibles 2.

The film is directed by Angus MacLane, Annie Award-winning director and veteran animator at Pixar, who co-directed 2016's Finding Dory.
