Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe got an update this weekend with patch 2.0.0, a major update that mainly resulted in the addition of the first additional track pack of the Additional Courses Pass, but there have also been other variations emerging in the official notes relating to the update. The main novelty is obviously the first delivery of the Pass Additional Routes, which added to the catalog other 8 tracks that are part of the maxi-package destined to continue for the next months, but there were also several variations applied to the main game, to accommodate the additions but also to correct and modify some consolidated aspects.
Among the major innovations there is obviously the support for adding the pass and new content: In addition to the additional tracks, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has been updated to support the Pass Additional Courses even for those who have not purchased the package.
C As previously reported: if someone in the lobby has the Additional Paths Pass, all players in the lobby can select the courses in question in the Friends, Wireless Play and LAN Party game modes, with the ability to select new courses starting from March 21 in online play.
Other changes include a reduction in the time required to regenerate an item box on the track after it has been picked up by a player and fixed some communication issues in matches to 12 players. In addition, some bugs have been fixed and the gameplay experience improved, according to what is reported in the notes without going into much detail.
