The invasion of Russia against Ukraine has led the video game industry to hold several solidarity rallies. After the bundles of itch.io and Humble Bundle, in recent days Epic Games has also decided to do charity, taking advantage of Fortnite. The results? Definitely extraordinary, as evidenced by the figures released by the company.
Just like with other charitable initiatives, Epic Games' support for the Ukrainian cause was not wasted. the players have welcomed the initiative of the Fortnite producers, so much so that in the last few days the results of this campaign have been revealed. “Together we have raised 36 million dollars for humanitarian aid in Ukraine. The funds raised will go to Unicef, UNWFP, Direct Relief and the UN refugee agency ", reads the twitter launched in the last few hours via the game's official Twitter account.
Together we've already raised $ 36 million USD for humanitarian relief for Ukraine. The funds will go to @UNICEF, @WFP, @Refugees, @DirectRelief. pic.twitter.com/JQESsGxDVt

The fundraiser has exceeded the total raised by the itch.io bundle (about 4 million dollars) and it is probably the charity initiative that has raised the most of all those organized by video game producers. The rally obviously does not stop and indeed, will go on: there are still two weeks left for Epic Games to raise even more donations and aid. We are quite certain that in April the amount raised will be far higher than we can imagine.
