Halo Infinite
Halo Infinite has a problem, pointed out on Twitter by Digital Foundry's John Linneman: the game is not present entirely on disc, which means that an additional download is required to start it.In the Halo campaign review Infinite we wrote about how the new episode of the series has managed to keep its promises, offering us an engaging and satisfying experience but also full of news.
The issue of mandatory download, however, represents for Linneman a limit not recently, especially with a view to preserving the software for several years: a theme that the author has always held in high regard.
"My biggest criticism of Halo Infinite is that the disc does not contain a bootable game," Linneman wrote. "This is the first episode of Halo that you can't actually own as a stand alone copy."
"This is not a positive trend and I hope Microsoft can reconsider these kinds of choices in the future," he added the collaborator of Digital Foundry.
Maybe the Redmond house hasn't paid too much attention to the question as most people will fall back on the Xbox Game Pass version of Halo Infinite anyway? Hard to say.
