Apple has recently unveiled that the next iteration of its macOS operating system, called Monterey, will be officially downloadable from next October 25 on compatible devices, of which you can find the complete list at the following address.
MacOS Monterey will bring several new features , starting from the Commands app, already present on iOS and iPadOS, which, as the name implies, allows you to automate operations and activities that would otherwise require different inputs and maximizing productivity. A second very important feature, especially for professionals who work on different devices at the same time, is Universal Control, which allows you to take advantage of the Mac keyboard and mouse also on iPad and other Macs. Simply placing the devices side by side, the pointer will move from one to the other. in a natural way, so as to share a single input between MacBook, iMac and iPad, with the ability to transfer files from one device to another with a simple drag and drop.
And that's not all! Your Mac's screen will become compatible with AirPlay, thus offering the ability to use it to stream content from your iPhone or iPad as well as to Apple TV or other devices equipped with this technology. Finally, Safari will also be revised with a new, more modern and clean design, with the possibility of grouping the tabs on the side of the search bar. Obviously, as usual, there will be corrections to the problems encountered, as well as an improvement in overall performance. Among the minor innovations we also mention the new FaceTime, Focus and SharePlay, a function that allows you to watch content in the company of other users in a synchronized way, quite useful given the current situation.
Yesterday, Apple also unveiled new products, including the brand new 14 "and 16" MacBook Pro with M1 Pro and M1 Max chips. For more information, we recommend you read our previous article dedicated.
