The GeForce RTX 3080 T i is certainly already one of the best graphics cards on the market right now, but, before its debut, there were several rumors about a possible variant with 20GB of VRAM on board. Apparently, according to a new firmware and a video posted on YouTube, it appears that this mysterious product really exists. The firmware of a 20GB GeForce RTX 3080 Ti, which an anonymous user recently uploaded to TechPowerUp , corresponds to Gigabyte's Aorus GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Xtreme (GV-N308TAORUS X-20GD). Bearing in mind that the device ID for the regular GeForce RTX 3080 Ti is 10DE 2208 while for the 20GB version it is 10DE 2205, it is safe to assume that this is not the same graphics card.
Credit: TechPowerUp How to the model name suggests, the only difference between the two variants of the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti is the amount of GDDR6X memory. The new version features 20GB of GDDR6X memory, which is a 67% increase over the “standard” GeForce RTX 3080 Ti, but the memory clock speed remains unchanged. The CPU-Z box and screenshot show a 320-bit memory bus on the 20GB GeForce RTX 3080 Ti compared to the 12GB model's 384-bit interface. So, despite having more memory, the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti 20GB offers less bandwidth (the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti goes up to 912GB / s, while the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti 20GB stops at 760GB / s).
A Russian cryptocurrency miner managed to get his hands on a Gigabyte GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Gaming OC 20G (GV-N308TGAMING OC-20GB) and check its performance. Apparently, HARDVAR, a St. Petersburg-based retailer, is already selling the 20GB GeForce RTX 3080 Ti for RUB 225,000 (about € 2,598 at current exchange rates). The Gigabyte GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Gaming OC 20G reportedly provided a hash rate of up to 94.04 MH / s in Ethereum. However, the YouTuber said the store managed to hit 97.79 MH / s with the same graphics card. Please note that the 12GB GeForce RTX 3080 Ti is equipped with NVIDIA's anti-mining limiter; for this reason, its performances range from 55 to 65 MH / s.

The new GIGABYTE Z690 AORUS Master is listed for $768.90 AUD which works out to around $500 USD (if you account for the 10% GST on the Australian pricing) while the GIGABYTE Z690 AORUS Elite listed for $438.90 AUD which means it should cost under $400.
GIGABYTE will launch its new Z690 family of motherboards including the new flagship Z690 AORUS Master and Z690 AORUS Elite motherboards next month, after Intel launches its new 12th Gen Core 'Alder Lake' CPUs that will include support for both DDR5 RAM and PCIe 5.0 technology.
There have been fresh rumors that Intel will not launch the new Alder Lake 12th Gen Core CPUs in October, but rather on November 19 -- but let's hope we don't have to wait that long.
