Since the new Unreal Engine 5 was announced a few months ago, many enthusiasts and development teams have been indulging in experimenting with the different ways of using Epic Games' new graphics engine. In recent days a group of developers known as Perfect Vision have posted a video on YouTube where you can see the new Engine in action, and the result is nothing short of astounding.These guys have allowed us to give a look at what the Unreal Engine 5 is capable of, opening us a window on the future of video games. As a subject, the team chose to make a rainforest very similar to the ones we've seen in two great FPSs: Far Cry and Crysis. Between dense vegetation, incessant rain and a few buildings, it only takes a few seconds to realize how thrilling the atmosphere created is.
This fan made forest map looks absolutely stunning in many ways. This team used some high-resolution textures, but the main feature of this creation is absolutely the lighting, which gives the whole an even more realistic cut. Who knows if we will ever have a new Far Cry or a Crysis with similar settings; would certainly be titles with a bewitching glance.
Unfortunately, like many other projects that use Unreal Engine 5, this video is also intended for demonstration purposes. To date, in fact, we have not yet seen the new Epic Games engine being applied to upcoming titles, but if these are the premises we really can't wait to be able to take a closer look at this prodigious new generation graphics engine. .
