PS Plus
PS Plus members get access to the August 2021 “Free” games today. Sony did not mention a specific time. If nothing changes in the familiar process, the new games will go online in the PlayStation Store in the course of the morning. Most of the time, the new games are available between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. As soon as the titles have been activated in the PlayStation Store, you have around a month to link the full versions to your PSN account for "free". Once you've done that, you can play the new bonuses permanently within an active PS Plus membership. In August 2021 you will get access to the melee battle royale action Hunter's Arena: Legends - both for PS4 as well as PS5. There are also the two PS4 games Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville and Tennis World Tour 2. To get access, you need an active membership with PlayStation Plus: The annual subscription costs around 60 euros. The offer changes in September, when new games will go online for PS Plus members.

I didn't think it was a brilliant month. But then I didn't think last month was a brilliant month either except for Plague Tale, yet I managed to have some goofy fun with the WWE game with my two sons (9 and 11 years old). I'd never have bought that game in a million years but being subscribed to PS plus meant we at least have it a try - and while I still wouldn't go and buy it or anything it was a bit of fun.
(Plague tale was the stand out game for me last month, but I've been busy finishing off Days Gone and starting Dark Souls, so haven't got round to playing that yet)
We'll probably give the tennis and plants Vs zombies games a go this month - because while there are some fantastic games out there that I'd love to see on PS plus, many of them don't really do couch co-op so any game that does is worth a try, even if it's not one I'd be interested in buying otherwise
