New Audi RS 3
Some rumors reveal rumors about the new Audi RS 3, which is the best performing version of the German vehicle that we have been seeing, for many months now, undergo the usual testing tests. The sports car could be equipped with the traditional 2.5 turbo and deliver a power of about 420 hp. However, the new RS 3 has a rival to beat. Indeed, the Mercedes A45 AMG S, is able to reach a power of 421 hp. Therefore, it is very likely - that the threshold to be crossed, for the new vehicle of the Audi brand - is precisely 421 HP.For this reason, according to what reported by Auto Bild, the German sports car - most likely - it will also be launched in a super sports version with a power of 450 HP and 500 Nm of torque (20 Nm more when compared to the previous model). As for the top speed, it should be confirmed around 250 km / h. However, the package that allows you to reach 280 km / h may be available. Furthermore, compared to the previous model, the new Audi RS 3 could make a sprint from 0 to 100 km / h in 3.9 seconds and no more in 4.1 seconds. The intent of the German company is, therefore, to try to improve every aspect and catch up with Mercedes.
Another very important feature, according to Audo Bild, would be an innovative four-wheel drive system on which the Audi company is working. In this case, the system could be based on the same one used for the new Volkswagen Golf R and the Tiguan R. Instead, the design of the new RS 3 should be based on the RD Q3 and the RS 6. Among the elements that will characterize the appearance of the new sports car, there will be - most likely - the larger grille, more evident air intakes, a spoiler and oval shaped tailpipes. The new sports car of the German company should be presented in early autumn and the first cars could be available on the market from the end of this year. Still, there is no information regarding the price of the new Audi RS 3, but the 420 hp version could cost at least 60,000 euros.

Audi has shared a glimpse of the next RS3 sedan, which will arrive for 2022.
The numbers on the side refer to the firing order of its turbo five-cylinder engine.
We expect the new RS3 to produce even more than its predecessor, which made 394 hp and 354 pound-feet of torque.
The next Audi RS3 will continue on with its party piece: Audi's unconventional—and delightful—turbocharged 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine. This confirmation comes courtesy of a new photo showing a camouflaged version of the new model with a 1-2-4-5-3 graphic on the side that refers to the five-cylinder's firing order.
We assume that the new turbo-five will be upgraded compared with the outgoing RS3, which offers up 394 horsepower and 354 pound-feet of torque. That got an RS3 to 60 mph in a scant 3.4 seconds in our testing, so the new model could be even quicker. It will likely use a dual-clutch automatic transmission and should come standard with Quattro all-wheel drive.
The photo also hints at the RS3's visual upgrades compared with the standard A3, which was recently redesigned. It has a subtle body kit, a rear diffuser, a lip spoiler on the trunklid, and larger wheels and tires. The U.S. market will get the RS3 only in sedan form, although there will be a hatchback model offered globally.
Look out for more official information about the RS3 to come soon. The standard 2022 A3 is expected to arrive in the U.S. later this year, and the RS model should follow a few months after that.
