The console version of the Steam Early Access hit Clone Drone in the Danger Zone will be released on July 27, 2021. This was announced by the development studio Doborog in a press release and on the product page. The title, in which you control robots with lightsabers and can cut off each other's limbs in Versus mode, is intended to support crossplay on all platforms and to officially launch on Steam at the same time as the release on Switch, Xbox One and PS4. There will be a bigger update for this.

The charming voxel optics and the fast gameplay reminiscent of Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy left Clone Drone in the Danger Zone at the beginning of the early access phase 2017 land on some watch and wish lists. Over the years, the game then blossomed into a downright cult hit, which also gained great popularity thanks to streamers on Youtube and Twitch. Originally started by a single developer, Erik Rydeman, the Doborog Games team grew to five members. What plans the studio has after the release of version 1.0 is not yet known.

Not just a great name, Clone Drone in the Danger Zone is a destructive robot brawler that's been a hit with PC players. The game's technically still in early access, but once it's fully released on the 27th July, it'll also be coming to PlayStation 4.


Clone Drone in the Danger Zone (we'll hopefully never tire of writing that) has all kinds of game modes, making for a pretty robust package. There are single-player survival and arcade-style modes, co-op skirmishes, and competitive matches to enjoy.
