Call of Duty

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Warzone continue to grow in size, reaching a truly enormous amount of space required, as with the recent update we have reached over 200 GB for the full version of the game.

As evidenced by the image below, referring to the PS5 version but probably also equal to the other consoles, the overall space occupied by the entire Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War package, including Call of Duty: Warzone and all its elements, now amounts to almost 220 GB, to be precise 219.8 GB.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War has reached a total of 219.8 GB of space occupied on PS5. a really huge occupied space, also considering the rather small capacity of the internal SSDs of the new consoles. We are practically a third of the space available on the PS5 SSD and even half of that available on the Xbox Series S.

The issue can be partially resolved by uninstalling some components of the game that we consider unnecessary, which reduces partly the overall dimensions, however a large part of the problem remains. It is possible that a more definitive solution may come with the release of real next-gen versions of Call of Duty: Warzone currently in development, which using the new data compression systems could substantially reduce the space required on SSDs, but at the moment there is no precise information about it yet.

The increase in size of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War also occurred with the arrival of the recent Season 4, which presented itself with a trailer at E3 2021. We have seen the weight of this only as regards the single update, which has finally introduced 120hz on PS5.

Call of Duty: Warzone Season Four patch hits the MG 82 with a nerf and squashes bugs

Call of Duty: Warzone Season Four has introduced some brand new content to the battle royale, including new weapons, the addition of Red Doors, and more. Although Warzone Season Four has only been out for less than a week, Raven Software already has a patch out for the latest issues. The patch addresses various bugs and hits the new MG 82 light machine gun with a nerf. In addition, the patch notes state what the developers are monitoring, suggesting what changes fans could expect in the future.

The main target of the patch is the MG 82 light machine gun. It has already proven to be a little too powerful in Verdansk and Rebirth Island. Therefore, its damage and damage range have been decreased. Also, the multipliers have been decreased and the horizontal and vertical recoil control have been increased. However, Raven Software noted that the damage and rate of fire remain unchanged. If you are a fan of the MG 82, there is no need to worry about whether or not it is still viable. It definitely is.

In terms of bugs, an issue has been addressed which required players to restart the game to unlock a gifted battle pass. Similarly, tier skips should now work as intended when receiving a gifted battle pass bundle. Next, a bug that caused a locked door to kill players at the Salt Mine has been fixed. Another notable bug fix is that if you use a QBZ-83 blueprint, it should no longer cause your game to crash.
