For the occasion, the original cast of Jennifer Aniston, Courtney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, Matthew Perry and Matt LeBlanc returns to the original Friends filming location on the Warner Bros. site. The program includes re-enactment of iconic scenes, reunions with famous actors who had guest and supporting roles on the sitcom, and plenty of behind-the-scenes stories. The returnees include Tom Selleck, James Michael Tyler and Reese Witherspoon. Other prominent guests include Lady Gaga, David Beckham, Kit Harington, Cara Delevigne, Cindy Crawford, Justin Bieber, James Corden and Mindy Kaling.
Due to the corona pandemic, the record of Reunion was postponed several times, but it could finally take place in April 2021 and even in front of a live audience, which is said to have largely consisted of extras tested for COVID-19. According to the press release, the broadcast takes about 100 minutes.
