VideoCardz colleagues have published a roadmap relating to future AMD Embedded products, thanks to which it has been possible to learn about some interesting details concerning the upcoming EPYC CPUs based on the Zen 4 architecture.Credit: VideoCardz Unfortunately, the roadmap is certainly not recent, as it indicates the EPYC 3 7003, based on Zen 3, only as a “concept”. However, we can see that the EPYC 3004 series, at least at the time of writing, is expected to offer up to 32 cores and 64 threads. The TDP should increase compared to the EPYC 3001 series (which, remember, was equipped with a Zen 1 core with a TDP ranging from 60 to 100 W), starting from 64 and reaching a maximum of 120W.
Moreover, the fact that EPYC 7003 will be equipped with a number of cores was certainly predictable, given that last February ExecutableFix had created a mockup (which we propose to accompany the news) of the processor based on the official AMD schemes, where it was possible clearly see the presence of more chiplets than in the past.
