Resident Evil Village
On May 7th we will finally have the chance to play Resident Evil Village, the new game from Capcom that is the sequel to the adventures of Ethan Winters that began with Resident Evil 7 Biohazard. In the meantime, however, there was the possibility of playing a first demo of the horror adventure, specifically dedicated to the Village. Now, it's time for the second demo in the PS5 version, dedicated to the Castle. We played it in advance and you can see it in the video in Italian at the beginning of the news!We remind you that this second demo dedicated to the Resident Evil Village Castle will be available for all PS4 and PS5 players starting at 7pm: 00 tonight, April 25, 2021. But don't forget that the demo is only available for eight hours, so you only have one night to play it - afterwards, it will disappear. If you do not have the opportunity to play it tonight, remember that a full version of the two demos for all platforms will be released, lasting one hour, on May 2 (02:00), which will itself be available for only 24 hours (then 02:00 on May 3rd).
The demo explains that Ethan, in search of his daughter, enters the Dimitrescu Castle, "driven by the faint hope of finding her". Ethan "goes into this sinister place. However, once inside, he is faced with a terrible reception." Resident Evil Village will certainly not be stingy with scary creatures and enemies to face.
We remind you that you can see the first part of the Resident Evil Village demo, precisely the one dedicated to the Village, in our dedicated news.

Resident Evil Village Getting Multiple Demos, Next Coming May 1
Your chance to grab the first of a series of time-limited demos for Resident Evil Village has already passed, but don't worry, as there are more on the way. If you're a PS4 or PS5 owner, you already had access to two of the game's areas, but they are no longer available. Players on non-PlayStation systems will have to wait until the latter demo to play. It will just give you a little extra time to practice pronouncing Lady Dimitrescu's name. You can also get the game for $10 off on Xbox right now.
Capcom released a new trailer and outlined the demos during its 25th Anniversary Resident Evil Showcase presentation, which gave a bunch of new details about Resident Evil Village and other projects for the franchise. The two demos Capcom mentioned will be released during the three weeks leading up to Resident Evil Village's launch on May 7, but they'll be available during some very specific windows.
On May 1, both the Village and Castle areas become available on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series S|X, Xbox One, Stadia, and Steam in another, longer window. You will be able to play one hour in total for both the areas, splitting your time between them however you choose. The one-hour demo is available for 24 hours.
Yeah, it's a bit confusing, and the times for each demo's availability vary depending on your region. Here's the complete list of when you can play the remaining demos, depending on where you are and what platform you're using:
How To Access Resident Evil Village DemosVillage And Castle Demo -- All Platforms (60 Minutes Total)The Resident Evil Showcase also gave a bunch of other details about what we can expect from Resident Evil Village, including a new trailer, which you can watch above. This new look at the game gives a greater sense of the actual Village and the other characters who live there. Some of them seem to be looking to fight against the seemingly supernatural villains of the game, like extremely tall vampire Lady Dimitrescu and her brother. It also gives a little more of the impression that Ethan might be drawing special attention from the vampire folks at the center of the game--and raises more cryptic questions about Chris Redfield.
Capcom also announced a new element for Resident Evil Village during the stream--the return of The Mercenaries, the franchise's arcade shooter mode. It'll be included with the Village when it launches on May 7. The developer also revealed the release window for its upcoming Netflix animated series, Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness, teased a crossover event with Dead By Daylight, and announced a virtual reality version of Resident Evil 4 coming to Oculus Quest 2.
