At an investor conference, those in charge at Sony discussed the goals and plans for the new financial year. According to CFO Hiroki Totoki, they want to invest massively in their own first-party teams at PlayStation Studios. The budget is therefore increased by 183 million US dollars for the period up to the end of March 2022.

Fans can look forward to new blockbuster titles from Sony in the future as well. But partnerships with external studios are also to be further promoted in this financial year. As an example, Totoki cited the cooperation with Haven Entertainment - Jade Raymond's development studio after leaving Google Stadia. Sony is also working with Bungie veterans on a new multiplayer game.
