PS5: PS Now titles will not have the next-gen update

PS5

A short time after the announcement of this month's PlayStation Now titles, unfortunately, an unfortunate confirmation arrives. Without going around it too much, the games will not enjoy the free next-gen upgrade. What does this mean? Simple, Marvel's Avengers and Borderlands 3, both updated to take advantage of the next-gen hardware from Sony, will only be playable in the PS4 version. Users who therefore want to take advantage of the PS5 version, will necessarily have to buy them. Certainly not very comforting news, for all players waiting to evaluate the two products.

The news was reported by PushSquare, who praised the service for the company's commitment to improving work but he nevertheless reproached the disorder of the same. On the other hand, many hoped to finally be able to get their hands on the first PlayStation 5 games included in the Sony subscription service, but it will not. That the Japanese giant decides, after the discontent of the public, to change its mind? Too early to tell, but we invite you to stay tuned with us at Game Division for more updates.

In the meantime, here is the description of Marvel's Avengers: “After the disaster of the- Day destroyed San Francisco and created a population of Inhumans, the Avengers disbanded. During their absence, the Advanced Mechanical Ideas (AIM) swears to protect people, but not everything is as it seems ";

"Start as Avengers fan Kamala Khan, on the run from AIM after discovering its terrible secret. By bringing the Avengers together, you will take on the role of each member, discovering the details on their way of acting. You travel around the world as the Avengers, to rekindle their confidence before there is nothing left to save ”.

Are you dissatisfied with not being able to try the next-gen version of Marvel's Avengers? Don't worry: on Amazon Italy, Square Enix's title dedicated to Marvel superheroes, is available in the PS4 version (with which you can get the PlayStation 5 upgrade for free) at a more than affordable price. Sony's next-gen console has proved enormously popular since launching in November last year and subsequent restocks have all flown off the shelves. To compound matters for frustrated gamers, restocks have been sporadic at the majority of retailers.

Several outlets, however, have reported the PS5 could be back in stock at different retailers as early as this week, following up on the latest restock at Newegg.

Here's a breakdown of the latest PS5 stock information from Target, Walmart, GameStop, Antonline, PS Direct, Amazon and more.

Amazon PS5 Restock

The PlayStation 5 is out of stock at Amazon and a message on the retailer's website indicates it does not know when or if Sony's next-gen consoles will be back in stock.

PS Direct PS5 Restock

Both versions of the console are unavailable at PS Direct. Unlike other retailers, PS Direct uses a lottery-like system, where slots to buy the consoles are randomly assigned to users in a virtual queue.

To be alerted when the queue opens again, gamers should follow dedicated Twitter gaming accounts such as @Wario64, who alerted gamers about the drop last week.

It is worth noting, however, that there is a limit of one console per address on PSN.
