Dontnod Entertainment
The ambitions are big at Dontnod Entertainment in the next few years. A recently published report mentions five new titles that the company would like to develop in-house by 2025. In addition, there is a parallel cooperation with the publisher Focus Home Interactive. The action role game Vampyr emerged from the partnership with the French publisher in 2018.Dontnod Entertainment is particularly known for the successful title Life Is Strange. Her more recent game Tell Me Why was able to build on this success and won, among other things, the prize for "Best Game with Effects" at 'The Game Awards'. Dontnod Entertainment Plans 5 Self-Published Titles Between 2022 and 2025
This is in addition to titles also being worked on with other partners.
Every since launching the Life is Strange series, Dontnod has emerged as one of the most interesting independent developers on the scene. While they don’t seem to be involved in that series anymore, they still have a lot in production. While we don’t know the scope of it all just yet, it does seem they also have an ambitious release schedule heading into the next few years.
As part of their 2020 business review, the company detailed their financials as well as future plans. In it, they mention they have multiple projects in development, something that isn’t a surprise considering things said in the past. However, what may be surprising is they say they have 5 self-published titles in addition to those with other partnerships, namely the game they are working with Focus Home Interactive on that’s yet to be unveiled. They apparently hope to have these released in a pretty tight timeframe, between 2022 and 2025.
As of now, we don’t know what Dontnod is working on, whether by their own or with partners. Their last titles both released in 2020 with Tell Me Why and Twin Mirror. 5 titles releasing within three years is quite the goal, so it’ll be interesting to see what comes of that in the next few years.
