Diablo 2 Resurrected: Alpha test announced, that's when

Diablo 2 Resurrected

Last February during the expected BlizzCon 2021, the event dedicated to upcoming titles from Blizzard, Diablo 2 Resurrected was presented. We are talking about the return of one of the most beloved video games of all time, and a work that has allowed Blizzard to become one of the most recognizable companies in the entire gaming industry. Just in these hours, the team has officially announced that the "remake" can be tried very soon through the alpha test, from 9 to 12 April.

The alpha test, which will take place starting this Friday, will focus on the single player campaign and will allow the use of three distinct classes: Barbarian, Amazon or Sorceress. What's the problem? The test can be tried by a limited number of users and consequently it will not be easy to participate since the invitations will be sent in a totally causal way. If you want to try to apply there is still time, you can do it by following this address, log in and click on the appropriate registration.

If you are unable to participate, do not worry, the development team has announced that it will be proposed another test in the future, which will instead be dedicated to multiplayer as a "stress test". For now, the developers have announced that these tests are dedicated only to PC users, but we know that Diablo 2 Resurrected will also be released on consoles.

Diablo 2 Resurrected looks like a remake of the original game released back in 2000, obviously re-proposed in the current era. The gameplay presented by Blizzard is the same as the base game, but to have an edge is the visual aspect and fluidity. Also to be considered is the possibility of being able to switch from classic to more modern graphics whenever the player wishes, so as to be able to personally evaluate all the improvements made. For any further details regarding the title, we invite you to follow our pages as usual.

At this Amazon address you can buy Diablo 3.

To participate, players will need to opt-in at the game's official website using their Battle.net info. This Technical Alpha test will only focus on the Diablo II: Resurrected single-player campaign. Players will have access to three of seven classes: the Barbarian, the Amazon and the Sorceress. There are only two acts of the campaign available but no level caps, so participants can level up their characters as much as they want.

Diablo II: Resurrected is an upgraded version of the popular dungeon crawler game with 4K resolution, 3D visuals instead of 2D sprites, 27 minutes of rebuilt cinematic, improved sound and other quality-of-life enhancements. It's coming later this year, first on PC then on PS5, Xbox Series consoles and the Nintendo Switch.
