Aquaman
It is a short step from the world of Game of Thrones to that of DC. Pilou Asbaek, known for playing the evil Euron Greyjoy in the HBO series, has joined the cast of the Aquaman sequel. The news was reported exclusively by the American portal Deadline and, at the moment, his role remains top secret.Aquaman 2 will be directed once again by James Wan and will see Jason Momoa again in the role of Arthur Curry together to Dolph Lundgren in those of King Neseus. Filming will begin this summer and the film will be released in theaters on December 16, 2022.

Despite the controversies surrounding her legal dispute with Johnny Depp, Amber Heard was reconfirmed in the role of Princess Mera. Patrick Wilson as Ocean Master and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta will also return on board.As announced by the director at the DC Fandome, which aired last summer, the Aquaman sequel will contain of the horror elements and will be much more mature than its predecessor. The narrative universe was supposed to expand with a spin-off called The Trench, focused on the amphibious creatures that appeared in the film, but Warner Bros. has decided to suspend production.
According to some rumors, however, the major could decide to resume the idea in the future and turn it into an exclusive series for HBO Max, without however having any kind of connection with the Aquaman universe.
In the meantime, we remind you that 2022 by DC Comics promises to be explosive : The Batman will also arrive in theaters, with Robert Pattinson making his debut as the dark knight, Black Adam, who will see Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson as the famous antihero, and The Flash, with Ezra Miller again playing the scarlet sprinter , flanked by Ben Affleck's Batman and Michael Keaton's.

Deadline is reporting that Game of Thrones alum Pilou Asbaek is joining James Wan’s Aquaman 2. Sources close to the industry trade note that Asbaek will star opposite Jason Mamoa in the sequel to the 2018 DC Extended Universe blockbuster.
Pilou Asbaek is best known for his work on Game of Thrones, starring as the ultra villainous Euron Greyjoy. Asbaek portrayed Euron for three seasons, playing against some of the series most memorable characters. His next role is starring alongside Sylvester Stallone in MGM’s Samaritan.
Little is known about Aquaman 2 as details are being kept under wraps.. There’s also no report on who Asbaek will be playing, but many fans hope he’ll take on another villain role. Could he take on the part of Fisherman or Charybdis, the villain known for feeding Aquaman’s hand to piranhas?
2018’s Aquaman was met with a lukewarm reception from critics but went on to gross more than $1.14 billion at the box office. Jason Mamoa was last seen playing the Arthur Curry character this year in Zack Snyder’s Justice League.
