This was recently announced via Twitter by Australian programmer Steven Kah Hien Wong, who is currently working at Respawn Entertainment in Los Angeles. In the tweet he stated:
"Do you want to join us and help create a new brand from scratch? Our team currently consists of 5, we are looking for number 6 (a coder)."

Accordingly, the previously secret project by Respawn Entertainment seems to be in a very early phase. With just five employees, the team is anything but huge, so it will probably be some time before we hear or see more details about the previously secret brand. Accordingly, it is currently completely unknown what kind of game it is, in which universe it is set and which genre it will belong to.
Incidentally, this message is not completely new and therefore not surprising. Last year there were initial reports that Respawn Entertainment was allegedly working on a new brand. So it was already clear then that the secret project was not a successor to Star Wars Jedi. Fallen Order or another episode of the shooter series Titanfall is about.
