Nordisk Games has acquired a minority stake in the Supermassive team, equivalent to around 30% of the shares, making the company a large shareholder, indicating rather serious intentions on the British team.

Supermassive is the team author of various titles especially in the horror genre such as Until Dawn and the recent The Dark Pictures: Man of Medan and The Dark Pictures: Little Hope, as well as the next chapter of the anthological series, House of Ashes.

Currently it has about 200 employees, so this is a team of a certain caliber compared to standard indie teams and is based in Guildford, UK. The CEO of the team, Pete Samuels, said he was very happy with the support received: "We are delighted to have the support of Nordisk Games together with Supermassive, looking forward to what the future will bring. Nordisk Acquires 30.7% Stake In The Dark Pictures Creator Supermassive Games



Nordisk Games has announced it has acquired a 30.7% stake in Supermassive Games, the company responsible for The Dark Pictures franchise.

Based in Copenhagen, Denmark, the company has investments in a number of video game developers based in Europe, Avalanche Studios, Raw Fury and MercurySteam. Supermassive Games will now mean the studio has nine companies in its portfolio.

Pete Samuels, CEO of Supermassive Games, commented:
