Tales of Arise, here is the new trailer from the Tales of Festival
As promised by the Bandai Namco team, the streaming event to celebrate 25 years of the Tales Of series has brought with it interesting updates on the awaited new chapter. The digital Tales Of Festival has in fact turned out to be the showcase chosen by the Tales Of Arise development team to show a new JRPG story trailer. The video, which you can view directly at the opening of this news, offers a small glimpse of the narrative framework that will host what was definitive as a real "rebirth" of the saga, which welcomes for the first time in a long time a new engine graphic. Animated by the ever-versatile Unreal Engine, the plot will propose a story of redemption, in which the two protagonists of Tales Of Arise, born on two planets in conflict, are forced to collaborate.
By now by hundreds of years, the kingdom of Rena exercises control over Dahna, whose inhabitants live in conditions of slavery. Among the latter, we find the enigmatic Alphen, whose face is covered by a mask. In search of redemption and revenge, the boy will intertwine his footsteps with Shionne, a resident of Rena victim of a dark curse. Unfortunately, the new trailer hasn't confirmed any precise release date, but updates on this could come very soon. In fact, the video informs us that further news on Tales Of Arise will be released during the spring of 2021.
Tales of Arise finally gets brand new trailer, further news coming in Spring 2021
© Provided by GamePurTales of Arise, the latest in Namco Bandai’s long running Tales of franchise, was originally slated for a 2020 release. But thanks to COVID-19, which game producer Yusuke Tomizawa stated was the reason for the delay, news of the title dried up rather quickly and there was a massive delay. But today Namco Bandai dropped a brand new story trailer for the Tales of Festival celebration, along with the announcement that more news is coming this spring.
The trailer reveals more story and character details, mainly that the protagonist Alphen is a Dahna slave who has no other memories of himself but has a strong desire to free his fellow Dahnans from their Renan enslavement. He teams up with a spirited woman from Rena named Shionne, who seems to be some sort of nobility, and summons a powerful sword from her body. However, she makes it clear that while he’s able to wield the mighty weapon he still needs her to manifest it in the first place.
While we know that Tales of Arise is aiming to revitalize the series, it will still keep the series standard Linear Motion Battle System in place. Because it uses Unreal Engine 4 unlike past games, the graphical quality along with character models and movement is much higher. Hopefully this will be an entry to remember as it’s been over five years since the last Tales of title released.
Tales of Arise will be launching for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, though no official release date has been announced yet.
