The owners of the amiibo cards of the Animal Crossing Sanrio Collaboration Pack will be able to meet special inhabitants and invite them to settle on their island. In addition, dedicated items celebrate the collaboration, with Hello Kitty themed furniture and much more; The My Models App on Nook Phone is updated, with a rich selection of new customization and sharing options for your creations; On March 20, Animal Crossing New Horizons celebrates its first anniversary: those who download the update will therefore find a cake waiting for them in the mailbox; In addition, more surprises await players between March and April:

Nintendo Adds Prom Themed Items to 'Animal Crossing: New Horizons' for a Limited Time

In a time where we're still crossing out fingers over the possibility of prom, Nintendo is bringing the prom to us in Animal Crossing: New Horizons' latest update.
Get ready to party all night long with your villagers and friends with some brand prom items that will be available for a limited time thanks to the hard work of our favorite Able Sisters.
Starting on April 1, 2021 until April 30, players can head over to the Able Sisters shop to buy some prom gear including dresses, tuxes, and special prom sashes that will be rotating colors every single day, so you better make sure to collect them all before they're gone for good!
After that, users can also buy the limited edition Prom Floor and Prom Wall to really make it feel like it's prom wherever you are. Nintendo even provided an example of a room featuring other items like lights, instruments, and more to really make it feel like your prom IRL.
These items are a part of the upcoming April update, which will also include items like a 1st anniversary cake in honor of the game's release and limited edition exclusives for April Fool’s Day, Korean Singmogil Day, and Earth Day. The season will also bring back the game's big Bunny Day event, which helped kickstart the game back in 2020.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons became an instant smash hit for Nintendo, becoming the best selling Switch exclusive game ever.
