Rainbow Six Quarantine
Only last week, the publisher Ubisoft announced that it was thinking of changing the name of the co-op shooter Rainbow Six: Quarantine. As the reason for this, the managing director Yves Guillemot named the current corona pandemic. Fans may see the name as inappropriate and out of place in this context. So far there has been no announcement of a new name, but recently at least one hint emerged.According to current reports, some kind of patch related to the co-op shooter has appeared on the PlayStation Network. However, he is no longer listed there as Rainbow Six: Quarantine, but as Rainbow Six: Parasite, which could be the new name for the action game. Interestingly, the patch with version 1.01 is provided with the addition "Initial launch patch", which suggests that it could be a kind of Day 1 update. However, this is a bit strange because there is no specific release date for the co-op shooter. All that is known so far is that the release will most likely take place later this year.
The whole thing could also be just a mistake or a hasty action on the part of Ubisoft. An official statement or even confirmation from the publisher is currently pending, so you should view the whole matter as speculation for the time being. As soon as concrete details are available, you will of course find them immediately in our news section.
