Sony has announced a new PlayStation State of Play for February 25 with a focus on ten games for PS4 and PS5, some of which were shown during last June's PlayStation event. Will there be room for hardware announcements too?Sony specifies that during the show we will see "a series of news and insights for 10 games coming to PS4 and PS5 including announcements of new games and updates on indie titles and third parties you last saw in the PS5 presentation in June. "
The event will last 30 minutes, Sony confirms that there will be no hardware announcements of any kind or industry related announcements (such as acquisitions or sales figures), the focus will be solely "on the fantastic games coming in the next few months."
To learn more about the newly announced PlayStation VR 2 headset for PS5 it will be necessary to wait, with every probably during the State of Play we will be able to see upcoming games such as Returnal and Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart in action, with the hope of Kena Bridge of Spirits, expected for the next few weeks.
The names of Horizon Forbidden West and GTA 5 Next-Gen, yes however, it is simple speculation based on the fact that the two titles in question have never been shown after the PlayStation Event last June. That's potentially big news, because games shown off at last June's PS5 showcase include Horizon: Forbidden West, Gran Turismo 7 and a PS5 edition of Grand Theft Auto 5. Hopefully we'll also see more of God of War: Ragnarok, which is tentatively scheduled for a 2021 release.
