Galax
Over the past few years we have seen an increasing importance given not only to performance, but also to the aesthetic aspect of its configuration. In addition to the use of many colored RGB LEDs, some have tried their hand at creating builds characterized by a prevailing white color. This, however, has led to some problems, as not many manufacturers offer components in line with this style. Among the many GeForce RTX 3060-based graphics cards announced so far there is only one white card, identified by Hermitage Akihabara and made by Galax. Apparently, this product is not even listed on the company's website and appears to be for sale only at a Japanese store.Call Galax Galakuro GeForce RTX 3060 12GB (GK-RTX3060-E12GB / OC / White) , the card is equipped with NVIDIA's GA106-A300 GPU, which provides 3,584 CUDA cores with a frequency that can go up to 1.807MHz (slightly higher than the 1,780 recommended by NVIDIA) in Boost mode, accompanied by 12GB of GDDR6 memory running at 15Gb / s on a 192-bit interface.
The GPU is kept cool by a rather massive cooling system, which includes an aluminum heatsink, heatpipe and two fans, which takes up 2.5 slots. Bearing in mind that the card is rated for a TDP of 170W, it is not surprising that it is equipped with a rather advanced system that will be able to improve its overclocking potential, although this can be a problem for certain configurations in terms of space. As for power supply, the device sees the presence of an eight-pin PCIe connector, while on the back there are four video outputs: three DisplayPort 1.4 and one HDMI 2.1.
Unfortunately, the Galax Galakuro GeForce RTX 3060 12GB is currently only available at a store in Japan priced at 57,980 yen without tax (about 450 euros at current exchange rates), so we don't know if, and when, it will also arrive in West. For a more in-depth analysis of the performance achievable by NVIDIA's new proposal, we recommend reading our review.
