Elden Ring, spotted a provisional PEGI
From the now quite distant E3 2019, From Software and Bandai Namco have closed communications related to one of the most anticipated titles from the videogame community. The absence of news on Elden Ring has done nothing but fuel further waiting and expectations of the public, for a title that is the result of an exceptional collaboration. In fact, to shape the universe of production we do not find only Hidetaka Miyazaki, former creator of Dark Souls, Bloodborne and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, but also the American writer George RR Martin, author of the saga of The Song of Ice and Fire, base for the cult TV series Games of Thrones. After a denial of the presence of Elden Ring at the Taipei Game Show 2021, hopes are rekindled for the imminent sharing of new details on the production.
An interesting sighting is once again inflaming the flow of rumors and indiscretions . On the Asian portal and on the European portal of Bandai Namco, the card dedicated to Elden Ring reports an additional detail, absent until recently. This is a first provisional PEGI, qualified in PEGI 16. The attribution of a classification, although provisional, could represent a clue regarding the desire to disclose a new trailer for the game. Obviously, this is not a certainty, but a feeble hypothesis, which, however, added to the chorus of rumors of the last few weeks, could represent an interesting starting point for speculation.
Waiting to know more, we remind you that at the moment the only material available related to Elden Ring is the first presentation trailer dating back to E3 2019.
Elden Ring Age Rating Could Be a Hint at a Possible New Trailer

In a few months, it’s going to be almost two years since the announcement of Elden Ring, and there’s still no official information or trailer from the game since the first teaser that went live at E3 2019. Over the past few months, there have been several rumors about an upcoming Elden Ring trailer, but none turn out to be true. That being said, the latest Elden Ring age rating on the Bandai Namco’s official webpage, could be a trustworthy hint at a possible upcoming trailer.
As reported by Gaming Route, the official Asia branch of Bandai Namco’s webpage has recently uploaded a provisional PEGI 16 rating for Elden Ring, which is also visible on the Europe branch of the publisher’s website. Although this is still provisional and Elden Ring doesn’t have an official page on PEGI yet, this could mean a trailer is on the way.
Usually, video game trailers feature a final or provisional age rating mark from either PEGI or ESRB to indicate which ranges of gamers are allowed to play the game in Europe or North America. With the Elden Ring age rating indicator from the PEGI system available on the title’s publisher’s page, this could mean that the game might receive a new trailer soon, before getting its final rating indicator from the PEGI system.
The games usually receive their final age rating indicator when the development process is at the final stages. In the case of Elden Ring, a provisional indicator probably means that the game is still somewhere in the middle of the development process.
Elden Ring is supposed to be available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. However, it will likely be confirmed for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S as soon as a new trailer comes out. No signs of a Nintendo Switch version yet.
