Two months after the launch of the PS5, games such as The Last of Us Part 2 have not yet received an upgrade for the console. While PS4 games like Ghost of Tsushima or God of War have at least received some improvements when playing the titles on the new hardware, there has been no update for The Last of Us Part 2.
Now fans have discovered a statement from Hermen Hulst (Head of PlayStation Studios) on the blog, which gives them hope that The Last of Us Part 2 might get an upgrade after all. Hermen Hulst was asked about his favorite games of the year on the PlayStation Blog. Among other things, he said:
"I'm impressed with the work Sucker Punch and Naughty Dog have done to make these two tracks [Ghost of Tsushima & The Last of Us 2] so fantastic to work on PS5 bring to."

Thanks to an update, Ghost of Tsushima can already be played in 60 FPS on the PS5. The Last of Us Part 2 runs almost identically on the new console as on its predecessor. The release of a PS5 version of the title for the release of the supposed multiplayer, which Naughty Dog has probably been in development for a long time, is quite possible. Game director Neil Druckmann also made a few hints last year. It is not yet clear when we can expect an announcement. At the same time, work is now being carried out on a series for The Last of Us, for which the director of the first episode has already been determined.
