We have already talked about the portal data about ten days ago, but the new surveys outline an even more overwhelming victory for The Last of Us Part 2: Naughty Dog's game has won 166 Game of the Year awards to date (118 awarded by the press, 48 by readers), a quantity definitely higher than the 39 obtained by the indie revelation of the year, Hades (37 from the press, 2 from the players). The podium is closed by another Sony exclusive, Ghost of Tsushima, which allowed the guys from Sucker Punch to take home 28 GOTY awards (23 from the press, 5 from readers). This is followed by Animal Crossing: New Horizons with 17 GOTYs, all awarded by the press, and Cyberpunk 2077, which gets 14 in total, evenly divided between press and players. The count is still in progress, but the overall winner is out of the question.
